Actor Aarya has got a specialty in town now. Know what? He happens to be the only actor who has got whole lot of offers from various regional film industries at the moment. ‘Poo’ Sasi is ready to roar with his next venture now. The director did not let down the heroine Parvathy who believed him or the producer who supported him. Though ‘Poo’ was not a big commercial success, it went on to be an average grosser and proved its power with good remarks from the critics. Impressed by the potential of the director, producer Dhananjayan has encouraged Sasi to direct the next film again for his banner Moser Baer.

This time, Sasi will be directing an action film. Know who is the hero? It is said that Sasi believed that only Arya can fit in this story. He went onto discuss the story with Arya, and the actor has given his nod for the project.

So, hero is ready and who will be the heroine now? When everyone was thinking about it the director suggested Pooja who is waiting for a good script.

Pooja and Arya are close pals for quite some time now. Moreover after ‘Naan Kadavul’ they have got a good chance to come together again for a different script. Nothing can be better than this for these buddies!

If a senior citizen from 1940s sees this, he will think that he has just traveled inside a time machine that took him back to those good old days. We are now commenting about those archetypical sets erected at Mohan Studios in Saligramam for Aarya’s ‘Madaraspattinam’.

It is so evident that the team of ‘Madaraspattinam’ is taking great efforts to bring that beautiful old Madras back to life. We might have seen those old trams running even today in Kolkata, in fact these trams were also there in Chennai before independence. The team has brought one of the trams from Kolkata inside this historical set. Our today’s Koovam was once upon a time the beautiful Buckingham canal that had elegant Scotland boats sailing in them. Even this splendor is reborn inside the set of ‘Madaraspattinam’ through the art director Selvakumar.

Other than the above, sets of Chennai central railway station, Collectors’ quarters and St. George’s fort as well throw an awe of surprise.

What should we say? That beautiful Madras inside our parched Chennai!

I jus now came across 1 of de interview which r jammy gave in de initial stage of his career... Even itz a old stuff i thot of sharin it wit u all.. chk it out...

Aarya is excited about the result of his first two films — `Ullam Kaetkumae,' his actual debut, and `Arindhum Ariyaamalum,' which got released first. Both are doing good business and they augur well for Aarya, software professional turned actor. "I resigned from my job because I knew I could always go back to it, or pursue Masters in the U.S., as I had earlier intended," says the young computer engineer.

Aarya has been a model from his school days. "In school and college, modelling was more for pocket money ... at that point cinema didn't cross my mind at all," he says. It was later that he began approaching filmmakers. And when he heard that director Jeeva was looking for new faces for `Ullam Kaetkumae,' he met him. Jeeva chose him from about 30 youngsters who had come for the test shoot and told him: "There are hundreds of young men more talented than you are. Still if you've got a break it is because of God. So use the chance given to you really well. The same thing I told Shaam when he did `12B.'" Aarya remembers his mentor's words.

Long wait!

However the actor had to wait nearly three years to see himself on screen. "Thankfully my parents were very supportive. The day they saw me on the big screen was a celebration," Aarya chuckles. He is the eldest of three sons. Why did he opt for a change of name? "Jamshad is not easy to pronounce. So Jeeva asked me to call myself Aarya," he explains.

That was when director Vishnuvardhan spotted him in the promos of `Ullam ... ' and offered him that excellent role in `Arindhum Ariyaamalum.' "I was completely taken in by the way Vishnu narrated the story, acting out nearly every scene vividly," laughs Aarya. The sync was perfect. Again Aarya is in awe of Prakashraj who played his dad in the film. "The way in which he instilled confidence and encouraged me is unforgettable," he says.

Aarya has just committed himself for four more projects — he joins the SG Creations-Vishnuvardhan team for their next film after `Arindhum ... ,' Igor's `Kalabha Kadhalan' opposite Renuka Menon, S. S. Stanley's untitled venture and the Radaan TV production directed by C. J. Bhaskar. Aarya's immediate release will be `Oru Kallooriyin Kadhai' with Sonia Agarwal. The film has kindled much expectation and the industry buzz is that its director Nanda Periyasamy's attempt will be a very different one. "The story is very new ... almost poetic," says an excited Aarya. "Nanda was steadfast in his choice of casting me as hero. For all that, neither he nor the producers, Chozha Creations, knew how my first two films would fare when they signed me for `Kallooriyin.' As for Sonia Agarwal, she made feel absolutely comfortable ... there was no ego at all."

Will `Kallooriyin Kadhai' be a hat trick for Aarya? "Inshallah!" the rising star raises his head upwards.

He entered filmdom as an actor. After making a mark for himself, he recently floated a production company- ‘The Show People’, and vowed to introduce fresh talents.

And now, Aarya, the person we are talking about, is learning editing from his best friend Antony. If sources are to be believed, the actor is assisting the ace editor whenever he finds time, thereby quenching his thirst for the trade.

Meanwhile, the first venture of ‘The Show People’, the production company of Aarya, will be ‘Padithurai’. The film, which is expected to go on floors soon, will have fresh faces in pivotal roles.

Says Aarya, “Newcomer Abhishek is the hero of ‘Padithurai’. Suka aka Suresh Kannan, a former assistant of Bala will direct the movie. Musical score will be by maestro Illayaraja. I am not even making a guest appearance in it.”

Saying that he has plans to produce three movies a year, Aarya adds: "I want to make quality movies, that too by giving opportunity to fresh talents."

Aarya is currently shooting for ‘Madharasapattinam’ and ‘Chikku Bhukku’ in Tamil and a movie with Allu Arjun in Telugu (where he is appearing as a baddie). He would start working for a Malayalam movie soon, in which he would share the screen space with Nayantara.

The film would be directed by Shyama Prasad, who had earlier delivered a film titled ‘Ore Kadal’, starring Mammootty and Meera Jasmine.
