Star Cricket 2009 will be held on 7th March at M.A Chidambaram Stadium Chepauk. Tamil Cinema Stars Aarya, Silambarasan, Bharath, Srikanth, Jeeva, J.K Ritish, Shanthanu, Jithan Ramesh and Vikranth will play on behalf of Chennai Warriors. From Andhra Kings it will be tollywood stars Tarun, Srikanth, Uday Kiran, Nikhil, Raghu, Prabhu, Sai Ravi and Rajiv Kanakala. Tamil Cine comedian Chinni Jeyanth is the commentator of the event. The match would be a 25-25 over match with standard cricket rules with the beautiful actresses adorning the role of brand Ambassadors for the two teams. The Chief Guest Dr. M.K. Stalin and Hon’ble Governor Surjit Singh Barnala along with movie personalities, Indian Cricketers, other political personalities will be gracing the occasion with their presence.
The match will begin by 10am. The fun is not restricted with the game alone. Medleys from leading playback singers, hip hop dance by a famous dance academy in Chennai, exclusive solo performance by drums Shivamani and cheer leaders would keep the crowd on their feet. A part of revenue collected in this event will be contributed to Chief Minister’s relief fund.
